Andrew Snowhite, MNR
Andrew is a Sustainability and Strategy Executive with more than 20 years of global experience fostering business growth and innovating scalable green and blue initiatives across the built environment, real estate, and consulting sectors. He shapes material risks into strategic opportunities, scales multistakeholder programs through partnerships, and leverages environmental assets to strengthen brands.
As Strategic Management Executive at Voyacy Ventures and Senior Advisor to the Executive Chairman at APCO Worldwide, Andrew influenced sustainable coastal developments and built advisory boards for Saudi Arabia’s ‘giga-projects,’ including the $500B region NEOM and Red Sea Global.
He has advised Dentons and NewCities on green building, smart cities, and healthy communities, is a member of the Global Commission on Healthy Indoor Air and was a WELL City Advisor for the International Well Building Institute, and was a member of USGBC’s LEED for Communities Working Group.
Andrew was entrusted twice by the U.S. Department of State to lead public-private partnerships to fund and tell America’s sustainability and public diplomacy stories at Expo 2012 in South Korea and Expo 2017 in Kazakhstan. He also shaped partnerships with Arup, Boeing, Chevron, Cisco, Citi, Coca-Cola, Flour, Foster+Partners, GE, Hyundai, Microsoft, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and Samsung.
Andrew served as SVP and Chief Innovation Officer at Gale International, the master developer of the new South Korean smart and green city, Songdo, and co-founded an environmental consulting firm, Azure Worldwide, with longtime friend and colleague Philippe Cousteau.
He has been interviewed by media outlets including CNN, Discovery Channel, and EuroNews, and spoken at events such as SXSW Eco and USGBC’s Greenbuild. An avid scuba diver, Andrew has been acknowledged in journals such as National Geographic Research and Exploration for his underwater fieldwork with the “Shark Lady” Dr. Eugenie Clark in places like Egypt, Mexico, Palau, and Papua New Guinea.
Andrew holds a Masters of Natural Resources from the Center for Leadership in Global Sustainability at Virginia Tech, a BA in Environmental Science from University of Virginia. He is also an accredited LEED Green Associate.
